Description of the trip
This motorcycle tour is a true treat for all lovers of curves, mountain roads, and mysterious places steeped in history. Our adventure begins in Slovenia, from where we ride across Hungary toward Romania – a country that captivates with its diverse landscapes, warm people, and legends of the mysterious Count Dracula.
After a pleasant ride through the Hungarian plains, we cross into Romania, where one of Europe’s greatest motorcycling experiences awaits us – riding the legendary mountain roads Transalpina and Transfăgărășan.
Transalpina (DN67C) is the highest road in Romania and is considered the “Queen of the Carpathians.” With peaks rising above 2,100 meters, it offers breathtaking views and a thrilling ride through pristine mountain scenery – every kilometer a pure joy for motorcyclists.
Equally impressive is the Transfăgărășan (DN7C), made world-famous by the Top Gear show, which declared it “the best road in the world.” With its long sweeping curves, tunnels, and stunning vistas across the Carpathians, it delivers an experience that stays with you forever.
Along the way, we visit Bran Castle, known as Dracula’s Castle, where legends of Vlad the Impaler come alive among the ancient walls. Our route also takes us to the magnificent Peleș Castle in Sinaia – one of Europe’s most beautiful and elegant castles, a former royal residence surrounded by mountains and lush forests.
In addition to these famous roads, we’ll also ride several other scenic passes and mountain routes that reveal the authentic character of the Romanian countryside – full of curves, views, and smiling locals along the way.
After unforgettable days of riding through the Carpathians, we head west and return to Slovenia via Hungary, richer for an experience that combines adrenaline-filled rides, culture, and natural beauty.
This journey is the perfect choice for riders who seek unforgettable roads, breathtaking views, and a true sense of adventure.
