Description of the trip
Our journey will start in Ljubljana and riding on motorways we will arrive in Calais, where we will board the ferry to England.
Riding in Great Britain is characterized by two things: left-hand traffic and a high chance of rain. Fortunately, summer in Britain is neither hot nor cold. We have a lot of experience and useful tips for left-hand traffic riding, so there is no need to worry about it.
We will ride through Kent to London and sleep on the outskirts, then take a day to visit the city and its attractions.
After London we will continue our journey to Cornwall and its fabulous green landscapes, visit Stonehenge and Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey), go all the way to Britain's most westerly point, Lands End and eat Cornish pasties, visit Port Isaac (Doc Martin), then turn north and pass through the most beautiful village in Great Britain, Bibury, taken to Wales. We will drive through the beautiful Snowdonia and Lake District national parks and continue our journey to Scotland. There we will visit Glasgow and Edinburgh, drive towards the Scottish Highlands, visit the Loch Ness Monster and drive along the Great Glen Fault. We will turn south only at the most northerly point of Great Britain, John o'Groats in the north of Scotland.
On the way back to the south, we will also visit Sherwood Forest, where Robin Hood reigned in his time.
Before boarding the ferry again to the European continent, we will drive around the Norfolk Peninsula, visit the picturesque fishing village of Whitstable in Kent and see the Cliffs of Dover.
From Calais, we will then drive back to Slovenia in the opposite direction.
