Description of the trip

Portugal is a motorcycle adventure between the Atlantic Ocean, mountains, and vineyards!

On this nine-day tour, we will explore northern and central Portugal, where spectacular mountain roads, dramatic cliffs above the Atlantic, picturesque historic villages, and world-famous wine regions come together.

Our journey starts and ends in Porto, one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. There are two ways to get to Porto – you can ride your own motorcycle all the way there, or take advantage of organised motorcycle transport from Slovenia and travel comfortably by plane. Motorcycle transport and airfare are not included in the tour price.

Over the following days, we will ride some of the finest motorcycle roads in northern Portugal. We will explore the magnificent Peneda-Gerês National Park, ride Portugal’s highest road to Torre, the highest point in the Serra da Estrela mountain range, enjoy endless bends through the breathtaking vineyards of the Douro Valley, and visit historic towns and authentic Portuguese villages along the way.

The southernmost point of our journey will be Lisbon, where we will experience the atmosphere of Portugal’s vibrant capital. We will also visit the magnificent palaces and castles of Sintra and Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. From there, we will head north again along new scenic roads, completing our circular journey back in Porto.

Every day brings outstanding motorcycle roads, breathtaking views, delicious Portuguese cuisine, local wines and Port, friendly locals, and the relaxed atmosphere that makes motorcyclists want to return to Portugal again and again.
